Dinner is cooked on the premises and served at 5.00pm. Our menu is designed to offer children with the best possible start in life and help them develop healthy eating habits that will hopefully last a lifetime.
Meal times are seen as social occasions and everyone is encouraged to develop good table manners. Dinner is eaten in groups with a member of staff present, giving both children and staff the opportunity to share in the general conversation of the day.
Children & parents preferences are taken into consideration and we aim to include a variety of foods and ideas from different cultures.
Below is an example of the dinners provided. All are served with either a selection of fresh salad or vegetables.
A snack is available on arrival at the club and fresh drinking water is assessable throughout the afternoon.
Kitchen staff have attended food hygiene training and refer to the Schools Food Trust for guidance on healthy eating.

Play offers children a physically engaging opportunity to learn the necessary life-skills they need to be successful in the classroom and later on in the workplace. Play also fosters a love of learning. Therefore, it is our aim to ensure that warm and welcoming play opportunities exist at Village End for every child. |
