TERMS & CONDITIONS

 1. Commencing provision of Childcare

Child Record Forms: We must have a completed child record form before we can care for your child.

School Collection: It is your responsibility to ensure the school is aware of our engagement and you are responsible for the setup of arrangements of our collection of your child.

2. Services that we provide

Food: A balanced nutritious diet is provided for dinner. A charge for food will be made if your child is registered for childcare until 6pm, even if your child is collected before we serve dinner.

Staff: We employ both qualified and unqualified childcare assistants who assists with all childcare related responsibilities. including school collections and general care on and off the Village End premises.

Collections: These are available at nominated schools. Should somebody different collect your child from Village End, they will be asked to quote a unique password as entered in your child record form.

In an Emergency: In the event of a medical emergency, we will carryout first aid treatment and seek medical advice if required. We will also consent to any necessary medical treatment on your behalf until you are present.

Transportation: We have fully comprehensive vehicle insurance for any journeys undertaken with your child. An appropriate car seat for the age of the child will be used at all times. During busy periods, we may also use an approved local taxi company who we have nominated to provide additional transportation, all of whom are registered and checked by the relevant local authority.

             3. Charges and conditions of Childcare provision

Overtime & Late Collections:  Our normal working hours are Monday to Friday, from 2.45pm - 6.00pm. Any children remaining after 6.00pm will be transferred to Brickfield Cottage and cared for under our childminding registration (EY256950), where we will follow our procedures for uncollected children. For authorised care outside these hours, a levy will be charged of 25p, per minute, per child. For unauthorised care outside these hours, a levy will be charged of 50p, per minute, per child. This levy also applies to until 5pm agreements. 

Sickness: Children must not be brought to Village End, nor can we collect them from school if they are unwell or suffering from a contagious illness or infection.

Medication: If your child requires medication or treatment for an on going condition e.g. Asthma, a separate medication form will need to be completed in advance. We cannot administer any medication without prior written consent. 

Child Exclusion: Should your child become incompatible with the general well-being of other children in our care, eg. bullying, disruptive, inappropriate or aggressive behaviour, your child will be excluded from all of our clubs, 'without notice'.

This Agreement: If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable then such provision shall be automatically modified to the extent necessary to make it valid, legal and enforceable and all other provisions of this Agreement shall be regarded as fully valid and enforceable unless otherwise proved.

4. Conditions related to Childcare provision

Charged Services: Any additional fees due for extra childcare services will be included on the next invoice.

5. Miscellaneous

Photography: We may occasionally take still and moving photographs of children for inclusion in promotional material such as our website or for display purposes, or to assist us with observing and reviewing your child’s care, learning and development.

Sunscreen: We may apply sunscreen to your child in hot weather as necessary.

Observations: In accordance with the EYFS Standards (Early Years Foundation Stage) and to aid good practice, we may at times make written and recorded observations of children.

Personal Property: You are responsible to ensure that children do not bring any items of value to Village End as we accept no responsibility for lost or damaged property.

6. Our Compliance

We agree to comply with all requirements of registration as laid down by the regulatory authority (Early Years Directorate, OFSTED) and the After School Care Standards Act.
