About the Camp

Play offers children a physically engaging opportunity to learn the necessary life-skills they need to be successful in the classroom and later on in the workplace. Play also fosters a love of learning. Therefore, it is our aim to ensure that warm and welcoming play opportunities exist at Village End for every child.

Village End - A place where children and young people can feel at home. A safe & secure environment full of activities and hobby clubs to suit all age groups. Overweight children are far more likely to become overweight adults than are children who maintain normal weight during adolescence. Regular exercise is an important health maintenance strategy for children, it facilitates weight control, helps strengthen bones, and can improve cardiovascular risk factors.

Each day Holiday Camp members are given the opportunity to try out a variety of sports activities. This summer, mini olympics proved to be one of the most favoured team activities.

A less structured alternative to holiday childcare

Village End Holiday Camp is open throughout the school holidays from 7.30am - 6.30pm and welcomes children and young people between the ages of 3 - 13 years.

We aim to provide families with a safe, well-organised holiday camp in which children have access to an extensive range of activities and a great network of friends.

A variety of sports and games are available for members who wish to participate. Our sports & fitness program is designed to make exercise fun and exciting whilst developing new skills, keeping fit and improving confidence, balance and coordination.

Indoor activities are also available, such as arts & crafts, music & dance and hobby clubs.

Our less structured approach together with our experienced enthusiastic staff offers children an ideal place to enjoy their school holidays!

Occasionally, we plan outings to local parks and places of interest. This summer we visited Windsor Castle then stopped off for a picnic, before cooling off at the water park.

At Village End children will have plenty of chance to exercise. Exercise helps develop social skills such as sharing, taking turns, cooperating and learning about winning and losing. It also helps develop physical skills such as running, eye-hand coordination and ball skills. And it offers children a sense of belonging as they do things with other children, either in casual or organised activities.
