Play offers children a physically engaging opportunity to learn the necessary life-skills they need to be successful in the classroom and later on in the workplace. Play also fosters a love of learning. Therefore, it is our aim to ensure that warm and welcoming play opportunities exist at Village End for every child.

Our study support program is available both before and after school. Our support staff can assist children with their homework, maths, reading and spelling. Participation is voluntary and our setting is informal and relaxing. Other similar services currently in operation have been linked to better attendance, higher achievement and improved motivation & self esteem.

Healthy foods will give your children loads more energy to do the things they love, such as playing games with their friends. It’s also proven that a balanced diet can help them at school, as they're less likely to get tired and lose concentration. A nutritious meal will also improve their mood and often put a smile on their face when they're feeling sad.

Overweight children are far more likely to become overweight adults than are children who maintain normal weight during adolescence. Regular exercise is an important health maintenance strategy for children, it facilitates weight control, helps strengthen bones, and can improve cardiovascular risk factors.

Opening June 2007, based within the beautiful, secure grounds of South Grange and South Ascot Village School, Village End will be accessible to local families who wish to experience our new and exciting childcare facilities.

Village End will offer children and young people between the age of 3 - 13 years the opportunity to keep fit and healthy, to acquire new skills, to build on what they learn through school, or to simply relax and have lots of fun.

With redevelopment and modernisation to our facilities currently underway, together with our centralised location, Village End is ideally placed to undertake this demanding but exciting challenge to deliver a high quality, affordable, childcare service to the wider community.

As well as providing 'wrap-around' childcare with supervised transfer arrangements to and from other local schools, we will also be running two 'free entry' out-of-hours clubs. Saturday Club - held every Saturday morning between 10am - 12pm, and Boot Camp - held every Wednesday evening between 6pm - 8pm.

A varied, rotating choice of activities will be available at all our clubs throughout the year, including, sports & fitness, hobbies & pastimes, arts & crafts, games & challenges, music & dance, plus lots more...

Our newly formed, enthusiastic team of experienced Teachers, Study Support Assistants, Playworkers, Sports Coaches and Coordinators, will be available throughout the year to assist, organise and entertain, ensuring all members stay, ahead, happy, fit and secure!

Based at South Grange and South Ascot Village School. Village End offers over 3 acres of play area in which children can enjoy a wide range of sports activities, hobby clubs and a great network of friends.

Village End - A place where children and young people can feel at home. A safe & secure environment full of activities and hobby clubs to suit all age groups. A place where new members are made to feel welcome. Come along and meet the team and see for yourself exactly what Village End has to offer.

By using imaginative words for poses, normally those of an animal, bird or insect, we believe that yoga can foster a child's creativity. In addition to building a foundation for fitness and well being, children learn to deal with choices and feelings. Unlike team sports such as football and netball where players can get competitive, in yoga the individual competes only with him/herself.

At Village End children will have plenty of chance to exercise. Exercise helps develop social skills such as sharing, taking turns, cooperating and learning about winning and losing. It also helps develop physical skills such as running, eye-hand coordination and ball skills. And it offers children a sense of belonging as they do things with other children, either in casual or organised activities.

A healthy diet is one of the most important ways for children to maintain an active lifestyle and protect them against health problems. Healthy eating increases energy, improves the way their body functions, strengthens their immune system and thwarts weight gain.
