Village End After School Club is open between 3.00pm - 6.30pm throughout the school term-time. A local school collection service to transfer and supervise children safely back to Village End is also available.
We provide families with a safe, well-organised club in which members aged between 3 - 13 years have access to an extensive range of activities, study support, a healthy meal and a great network of friends.
Children are involved in planning a variety of sports, games and hobby activities. Sports & Fitness is included to make exercise fun and exciting. This helps children enjoy developing new skills and keeping fit which improves confidence, balance and co-ordination.
Children have access to a range of Arts & Crafts materials and “loose parts” to stimulate children’s imaginations and creativity.
A Homework Support Assistant is on hand to help children, who require help with homework and everyday subjects such as, maths, reading and spelling.
Dinner is cooked and served by 5pm. Our meal plan is designed to offer children with the best possible start in life and help them develop healthy eating habits that will hopefully last a lifetime.
Meal times are seen as social occasions and everyone is encouraged to develop good table manners. Dinner is eaten in small groups with a member of staff present, giving both children and staff the opportunity to share in the general conversation of the day.
We aim to work in partnership with parents to make every child’s experience an enjoyable and happy time.
